I wasn’t going to post today because 1) I like having weekends to be free and 2) it’s Mother’s Day, but I feel I’d be remiss if I didn’t make at least a short post.
If not for my mom, I wouldn’t be writing this blog today. She’s the one who taught me to knit when I was 5. And 7. And 9, and 12, and 19, and 23, and again at 28 when it FINALLY stuck….
Thanks for sticking with me, Mom. For never giving up on me and for persevering in the face of my obstinacy to teach me this skill that has saved my life and sanity more times than I can count. I love you.
And a happy Mother’s Day to all of you. Whether your kids walk on 2 legs or 4, if they share your DNA or not, if you’re still crossing your fingers every month, I hope you had a brilliant day and that you have many more excellent days to come. Filled with fun, fiber, and love.
